Hello! I'm Aoife

I founded The StoryBox Co. earlier this year to make it easier for families to discover high-quality children’s books and bring stories to life at home.

With a background in teaching and education research, and a lifelong love of books, I noticed first-hand how parents often struggled to choose the right books for their children. Overwhelming choice, lack of time, and uncertainty over what makes a great story meant many defaulted to the classics they loved as children, even if they weren’t age-appropriate — missing out on the rich and diverse world of modern children’s literature, with its fresh voices, imaginative illustrations, and stories that can delight, challenge, and inspire young readers.

Each StoryBox is built around a beautiful book and paired with open-ended toys and resources designed to spark imagination, creativity, and play. I believe nurturing creativity and protecting the magic of childhood is essential. Stories help children develop empathy, imagination, and language — tools that will remain invaluable as they grow. The StoryBox Co. aims to give children space to connect, unwind, have fun, and explore the world through stories.
